In the late 1970s, economic reforms took place on the Chinese mainland. As a result, Chinese consumers had increasing access to imports, such as Coca-Cola, KFC, Sony Walkman, and even pop culture.
This video highlights popular imported products in the Chinese mainland, from the 1970s to the 1990s.
