In this Week in Photos, people across the country celebrate National Day, marking the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. This year, the weeklong holiday beginning Oct. 1 has been combined with Mid-Autumn Festival and extended by an additional day. Meanwhile, Beijing hosted the Ido ComicCon event, and folk artists are pulling out all the stops to attract tourists.
