With its festival-like atmosphere and ethnic minority performances, a rural soccer league in Rongjiang County, southwest China's Guizhou province, has been a social media sensation all summer.

Featuring mainly local soccer-loving villagers, the grassroots tournament, nicknamed “Cunchao” or the “Village Super League,” has attracted millions of fans to watch the matches in-person and online, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of local residents.
